The Wisconsin Information System for Education is comprised of multiple tools (WISEid, WISEstaff, WISEdata, and WISEdash) that support data collection and analysis to meet required state and federal reporting mandates. These systems maintain high data quality and security policies and standards to ensure data privacy. Each of these tools can and should be used by multiple stakeholders including educators, district and school officials, and DPI staff. Specific tools such as the WISEdash Public Portal are also available for parents and community members.
CESA #1 WISE Data Analysis Coaches are available to assist you in maintaining a student-centered focus on continuous data inquiry. Data Coaches can help you design, develop, pilot, and disseminate a consistent data inquiry process that utilizes formative, interim, and summative student data and instructional practice data to make informed decisions. Data coaches will lead teams through protocols such as a Data Source Audit, Self-Assessment of Data Informed Leadership, and analysis of the Data Use Culture within the organization to identify strengths and areas of opportunity for effective school planning. The process includes the creation of an action plan that aligns resources, links teams (district, school, and classroom), and prioritizes the alignment of intersecting objectives using a data-driven focus.
