Serving more than 260,000 children in 45 school districts in southeastern Wisconsin, as well as the educational organizations that support them, CESA #1 (Cooperative Educational Service Agency) is the vital link among school districts, agencies, and organizations that educate students.
Created by the Wisconsin legislature, CESA #1 provides an interactive network of high-quality services and partnership opportunities to promote cost effective and equalized educational results across diverse school districts, all for the lifelong benefit of children.
As a regional agency serving school districts in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington, and Waukesha counties, we make it possible for schools, regardless of size, to work together to share staff and equipment, save money, and extend educational opportunities to all parts of the region and to all children.
Whether we're providing the latest technology services to school districts, professional development for teachers, therapists for special education students, or an innovative high school program for at-risk students, CESA #1 provides leadership that:
- Strengthens education to support southeastern Wisconsin students.
- Accesses and mobilizes resources to support school districts.
- Partners with businesses to benefit districts and our economy.
- Builds for the future through education innovation.
CESA #1 is about improving education through innovation, while recognizing that the economic well-being of our community, both today and in the future, depends on our ability to enhance the intellectual power of the next generation.
"CESA #1 is a passionate advocate for today's students and for the students of tomorrow. It provides support for some of the most challenged students in our area and professional development to help our educators excel. While doing this, CESA #1 continues to look forward to anticipate and plan for the realities of tomorrow."
