The Wisconsin DPI guides the education of students identified with gifted abilities and advanced talents under Wisconsin State Standards. CESA #1 provides services including analysis and evaluation of a district’s identification and programming for advanced learning to identify district’s strengths, as well as help determine ways to modify existing options for students and professional development for staff. Professional learning, consultation, and coaching are available to districts and school staff to focus on identification, academic extensions, and achievement growth in students with GT needs. With a focus on middle school students, CESA #1 also manages grants and invites schools to participate.
