The Special Education Department at CESA 1 partners with districts to ensure students with disabilities receive high-quality, individualized support.
We assist with IDEA compliance, provide technical assistance and leadership, and offer licensed staff and itinerant services tailored to district needs. We also manage several federal or statewide grants, through which we are able to offer professional learning and supports across the region at no cost or at a reduced cost. Our goal is to help schools deliver effective, inclusive programs that improve outcomes for all learners.
