Early Childhood Services

CESA #1 provides high-quality early childhood special education teachers who are assigned to specific programs or districts, or work on an itinerant basis. These teachers provide itinerant early childhood services in the classroom or in a student’s home. CESA #1 staff will provide diagnostic services, including compliance with Indicator 12 and Birth-to-3 transition, consultation with parents and families, specialized approaches for children with autism spectrum disorder, individual interventions for home and school, and will work with district teams to develop Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals/objectives. Staff are contracted based on anticipated caseload and expected costs. (Indicators 1, 3, 6, 7 & 12)
